Miss Jugg, Trans Bimbos, and Bodacious Babes

Art

The first time I ever saw a woman with a dick happened in an unlikely place, namely my friend’s comic shop that I used to manage many years ago. My first time seeing one in the flesh was also in that store. Our shop was located on the west side of New York’s Greenwich Village, historically known for having a large queer community, so that was no surprise. What did surprise me, however, was my fascination with and desire for these women. To this day, I’m unsure why I feel the way I do about them. When I stumbled upon Cuban-born South African resident Miss Jugg on DeviantArt, I was floored. Her particular style captured my eye before I had taken notice of the subject matter. The concepts, captions, and use of color in her work blend well to make each comic panel a frameable image. What I find most captivating is her gonzo style of illustration, a style that seems to have fallen out of vogue in the comic art world. With exaggerated features and over-the-top themes, the eroticism in her art feels almost immersive. You want to be there, sharing these experiences with her women. If comic book art isn’t your thing, you can find short videos of herself and her friends both on DA and Twitter.

She’s a comic artist and writer, as well as a porn film producer; literally more than meets the eye.

Normally, when one interviews an artist, the first question asked is invariably how long has the artist been drawing, painting, or illustrating. Your art at DeviantArt seems to date back to 2012, but I would assume that you’ve been an artist long before your DA uploads.

I have, I’ve actually been drawing as early as 3 years old, my family will occasionally remind me how I grabbed a pencil & drew a little turtle on a white piece of paper at that age.

Which mediums have you worked in before and what medium do you use for your current work?

I’ve pretty much dabbled in everything from graphite to charcoal, to clay, to fine-liner. I then started drawing digitally on a Wacom tablet and haven’t looked back since. I do all my work digitally now, with my Wacom tablet & computer.

Being a transgender woman, is that what influenced your decision to commit to the kind of art you do?

Not really, it goes a lot further back and deeper than that. I was drawing trans women way before I transitioned. I’d been drawing them before I understood what it meant, actually. As far back as 13, I would draw dirty art on a private notebook and would hide it at the back of my closet, because I didn’t want anyone to find it. It was my little secret. I guess I’ve always been intrigued by the subject matter & in a way my art shaped me, not the other way around. I just let it guide me, I try not to fight it.

Do you use models for reference?

I do. I’ve been drawing the human figure for so long now… I stood at many live drawing classes drawing nude models pose for pose with a group of other artists and I just never wanted to clothe mine, lol… I preferred them naked. Felt it was more truthful.

Your early DA uploads depict bizarre creatures as well as transgender women, but at some point, you stopped. Why did you abandon the subject matter? Was it to be able to focus solely on your current themes?

At some point in my career, I figured out that I really suck at taking direction from “studio leads”. Mainly because I’ve always felt that my ideas were better. I’ve just always believed in myself & my abilities. Sometimes a little too much… lol. I quit my last studio job 5 years ago now, and that’s when I decided that I was gonna work for myself. I did my fantasy creatures and other deeper and darker subject matter, but it just wasn’t selling. Then, my daughter came into my life and I had to make money for her. That’s when I took up drawing Erotica again after I had stopped for a few years. Needless to say that I found a lot of success in erotic art. So I stuck with it & it’s become the best decision I’ve ever made.

Why do your women have exaggerated features, but your men are normal size?

LOL! That is true, huh?.. I guess it’s not a conscious effort on my part, like I said, a lot of my art is just guided by my subconscious mind. I guess the answer would be something along the lines of; I see Trans women in reverse to how most of the world views us… to me trans women are GODDESSES, mighty powerful butterflies that have blossomed into these majestic otherworldly beings. -and well, men to me are just… men. It’s just the way I see the world. It’s all linked to my childhood and the men that I had around me, they tried to shape and mold me to be like them, but I just… hated it. Found it bland and uninteresting.

You call your transgender women “futanari”, but futa usually have penises inside of their vulvas, or below the penis, and some don’t have balls, and so forth. Why does the term apply to your characters?

So, that is the original definition of “Futa”. Yes, it literally means hermaphrodite in Japanese. I do feel that in the last 5 to 10 years Western erotic artists have taken the term and made it their own. Mainly because the word “trans” hasn’t really been used to label Trans characters. It hasn’t been used in the porn space either. In porn they use a term which I loathe… “shemale”. It’s all a matter of taking these terms and using them in a more positive light, but also we use them because we want people to see our content and that’s just the way things work on the internet; popular words & phrases get the most hits. I have since moved on from both of these terms and tend to use my own term, “Jugg-Dolls” to describe my trans characters. As I’ve crafted a bigger audience for myself I have the luxury of doing that, but it’s never easy when you’re just starting out.

Each of your characters has varying personality types, are they based on people you know?

Yes, totally. Most (if not all of them) have a little bit of myself sprinkled into them as well.

For clueless people like me, when someone is in the process of transitioning into a woman but still has a penis, I understand that it may be due to an incomplete physical transition that will be taken care of eventually. What I would like to know is 1. Do transgender women sometimes choose to retain their male genitals, and 2. Do women (including yourself) who have no intention of removing their penis or are awaiting their turn for an operation, still call themselves women? Would that be the appropriate term and if not, what is?

Yes, it’s an appropriate term. But I would have to limit it to Trans Women who are actually undergoing Hormone Replacement Therapy. This is never easy to explain to someone who has never had to change their hormonal makeup. What we do to our bodies is basically block out the testosterone (using T-Blocking drugs) which makes us think and act like men, in a lot of ways, and then artificially implant Oestrogen into our system, which is basically the hormone created by the ovaries on a woman. This process changes us in many ways and transforms us into women. We even have “periods” once a month, where we spike hormonally, just like a CIS-gendered woman does. We don’t bleed, but the mental strain and push and pull are definitely there. For me, personally, it hits me way worse than any CIS-gendered female because the country where I’m currently living doesn’t really regulate the Oestrogen doses and I get usually triple the amount of Oestrogen that a CIS female would be able to generate with her ovaries.

All that to say that it’s way beyond a “male genital”. It’s more of a complete transformation, to a point where your so-called “male genital” starts behaving like a vagina in many ways. It shrinks, it doesn’t get hard as often and you can cum from rubbing it like you would a clit. My sex has evolved since I’ve transitioned. I cum mostly through grinding my “girlcock” (which is the term a lot of trans girls use for their penis) with my partner’s clitoris. So it’s a lot more like lesbian sex than the sex that a CIS man & woman would have.

I wrestle with the thought of getting a vaginoplasty often. Whether I do it or not, I don’t think it will benefit my life that greatly. In actuality, I think it’ll ruin it in a lot of ways. So being “complete” is not a realistic goal for many trans women, because a lot of us already feel “complete”. We are a lot more female than a lot of CIS females actually. Then you start asking the question… what is femininity? Lol, and we could go on and on for hours going back n forth. In the end, I truly feel like we (trans women) are our very own genre of human. We are essentially experiments with internal body customizations. In a way, we are the future. I believe that in the future both CIS men and women will wanna experience a little of the opposite sex’s hormones, just to see how their brains function on it and in a way get a TOTAL understanding of what it means to be human. Regardless of gender.

Feminisation, Bimbofication, Transmutation, Celebrity Fakes, Cartoon Fakes; are these your terms, or are they a part of the porn art lexicon?

Lol, no, those are part of the Porn Art Lexicon for sure.

“[T]rans women are GODDESSES, mighty powerful butterflies that have blossomed into these majestic otherworldly beings.”

I would assume that you’ve not only read comics before but you’re maybe a fan as well; it looks as if you’ve either studied comic art, you’re a fan, or all three. No?

YES to all. I spent 8 years studying art and design at different universities throughout South Africa and Canada. I have three Bachelor's Degrees; one in Animation, one in Graphic Design, and one in Concept Art. Comics have always been fun for me because I love storytelling, and comics are the most graphic way to tell stories in my opinion.

Your writing is quite good; did you have any experience with writing prior to your comics?

Well, yes, I’ve always been good at creative writing. Ever since I could remember, I’ve just always had a vivid imagination and the ability to string sentences together to form an intro, a strong body, and a good conclusion. I’ve written a number of essays for university and I’ve just always found it fun. I use it mainly as a planning point for the ideas that I plan on visualizing in the future. A lot of them don’t make it to canvas, but I do try to write out most of the things that go through my mind on a daily basis.

You and I share the same taste in artists, but there’s one in particular who I think may have inspired your style, and that’s Simon Bisley. No?

Totally! Bisley and Frank Frazetta are my fav artists of all time. I just love that retro painterly style, that you don’t see much of these days. It gives my pieces a grit which I love.

At what point in your journey did you realize you could make a few bucks with your artwork?

When I got my 1st comic book contract with Lustomic. They commissioned a 1 Year project and that was Student Life. My 1st ever long-form Erotic Comic.

There’s been a steep rise in erotic content during the past few years whether it’s music or art (especially during the pandemic). Is this something you’ve noticed and if so, what do you make of it?

Not really, in the sense that a lot of people during the pandemic started doing it to try it out, but a lot of them have since fallen off or have gone back to regular day jobs. In my mind, True Erotic Content creators do it, because they’ve always done it because they have that “freaky” mentality that goes beyond just “making a few bucks”. I think this is what you need to have in order to succeed in this field. The money is nice, but it takes a lot of consistency, hard work, and perseverance to turn it into an actual business that generates continuous cash flow. In actuality, that is why most people who try it fall off, because they start getting backlash for it from their family and friends or maybe get a hateful comment online and it starts to erode their want to do it. When they see that it’s actually a job, that comes with a ton of baggage, they opt out. It’s comical to me.

What other talents do you possess other than art and writing? Or are those things enough for you?

Def not enough for me, lol. I’ve actually been creating my own porn films for the past 2-3 years and have assembled a nice little collection of films on my Home Site. I also love marketing and sales, I’ve found a passion in it, the psychology of it all. It’s truly an art form in my opinion.

Is there a particular sex act that you prefer over others, and is there any that you won’t do under any circumstances?

Oh yeah, I definitely have a “do’s” and “don’t’s” list. Truly, I prefer just being present. But that’s with all in my life, not just sex. I prefer anything that’s focused on me, where I’m the center of attention. It can be me taking a cock inside me, no matter the hole -or me giving it to someone; just as long as the attention is on me and I can be present, and in the moment, enjoying it, moaning, feeling it. As far as 1 thing that I’m not fond of; it would probably be something involving bodily fluids such as pee or poo. Lol, those are def on my “FUCK NO” list.

Do you have any intention of doing animation, or anything else in mind for the future?

I like having instant gratification in the micro, even though I am extremely patient in the macro. Animation is one of those things that takes a really long time to create and actually put out there. It’s also not always a hit, so u can spend a lot of time on something which turns out to be crappy. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t enjoy creating animations that much. I have worked on year-long animation projects before that haven’t panned out and that failure hits you way harder than something that took u a few days to complete. As far as my future goes? I just want a legacy. I wanna be remembered long past my death. It’s what motivates me every single day to get up and continue grinding, continue hustling. It’s my sole motivator. That, and being able to show people that it’s ok to play with gender, it’s ok to be trans attracted and it’s actually fucking amazing. I always love getting DM’s letting me know how I’ve touched someone’s life, and how I’ve changed their perspective on life with my work and content. That’s my future, to continue to push my agenda forward, regardless of the medium.

How did you come to be a performer, and by "performer", do you mean stripper?

lol. I don’t mean stripper. Porn is an act, believe it or not. It’s a performance in a lot of ways. I got into it slowly, it took me a while to shed that “stage fright” if you will… I think what really triggered the want in me to do it was getting a ReTweet on one of my earlier nude videos by Trans Pornstar Domino Presley. I then created a few art pieces for her and exchanged various DMs. She without knowing it motivated me and showed me that I was good enough to actually do it myself. Once that clicked in my brain, there was no holding me back! I have since turned it into another successful revenue stream for myself.

What influenced you to make porn flicks?

I’ve always been a sexual being. Ever since College, I’ve been sending out nude photos and clips to my crushes. I’ve never been afraid to exhibit my “goods”, lol.. so, years later combining all of the editing and production skills that I gained during my college years with my exhibitionist mindset was a no-brainer.

How many people do you work with behind the scenes of your films?

Believe it or not, right now it’s only a 2 person team. Myself and my partner Mistic. She’s also recently started performing herself. Both of us do our own hair and make-up, cameras, lighting, and performance and I do the editing, production, and marketing of the videos. We do Porn Solopreneur style.

The first time that I ever saw a transgender woman was in comics published in the nineties by John Howard, namely Horny Biker Sluts and She-Male Trouble. He happens to be a fan of yours as well. Are you familiar with his work?

Can’t say that I am, although I just googled him and I love his style. It’s got that 80’s/90’s (Heavy Metal Mag) gritty feel that I love. It’s right up my alley! Would love to get in contact with him.
