Lorde Reborn
Last outing, New Zealand treasure Lorde released an album that was laid back, and subdued. If her new single “Green Light” is any indication, her second time around looks to be atmospherically upbeat, maybe aggressive even. But perhaps that’s to be expected, as the teen songstress has since evolved into a woman more confident of her gifts, and of what she wants.
The song builds to to a celebratory crescendo at the end, but it’s obvious from the beginning of the song that there’s a tension there seeking release. Desire gives way to satisfaction, then to resolution. Yeah, it’s all good.
